Though I admit to singing some of the softer lyrics with my niece and nephew during long car rides. The language is remarkably offensive and Snoop definitely has a disturbing streak of misogyny running through his veins. That said, and much to the disappointment of my family (niece and nephew excluded) and friends, I absolutely love it.

The mix is extremely clean, with a nice strong rhythm section. The vocals are rich and soulful and the entire collection is delightfully energetic. There are several talented guest artists featured on this album including Bootsy Collins, Soopafly and Nelly.

My favorite track here is “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” featuring Pharrell. This is an extremely catchy tune, with amusing lyrics and a wonderful beat. “Step Yo Game Up,” features Lil' Jon and Trina. The lyrics on this track are raw and absolutely priceless. Things get a bit softer and more bluesy in “Perfect,” featuring Charlie Wilson.

This album is not for everyone. It’s a lot like a great cup of rocket-fuel coffee. If you’re into hip-hop/R&B and you don’t mind the strong language, you won’t be disappointed. Of course you could always check out the clean version, but it’d definitely lose some bite.
