This disc opens with a brief, but extremely bone-chilling, track entitled “First Power,” followed by the gritty “Ole School Sh!*,” featuring an eclectic mix of rap stylings by Gangsta Dresta, B.G. Knocc Out and Sylk. “Sorry Louie” is a delightfully disturbing number laced with maniacal giggles. The same giggles return near the end of the disc (along with a recap of most of the tracks) on “Wut Would You Do.” Things soften up a bit with “Just Tah Let U Know,” a danceable track with a fabulous beat. “Sippin on a 40” is another sweet one which includes the finely balanced vocals of Gangsta Dresta and B.G. Knocc Out and some engaging lyrics.

As you may have guessed, this one does come with a parental advisory and I can’t imagine it being cleaned up without being slaughtered. In fact, there are three tracks here I can’t even tell you the titles of. And the first two are a bit slow for my palate. The lyrics throughout the disc are clever, harsh, funny, (at times) and undeniably intriguing. There is a powerful bass line throughout.

Although it’s not for everyone, if you’re in the mood for some gritty, old-school rap, Str8 Offa Tha Streets will definitely cut it.
