This is an electrifying release from this multi-talented singer, songwriter and musician. The mix is extraordinarily clean and the tunes are upbeat. The lyrics are thoughtful; the vocals exquisite.
There are some finely-polished, re-recorded songs from Geiger’s previous album, Underage Thinking featured here, including the catchy “Try Too Hard” and “For You I Will (Confidence),” “A Million Years” and “These Walls.”
“Thinking Underage” has some really insightful lyrics. My favorite here is “Air Dry” with its in-your-face lyrics and lovely musicianship.
And it all comes complete with written lyrics and a stunning array of photos included in the liner notes. There is even a DVD that includes two music videos, (“For You I Will” and “These Walls”) including footage from the making of both, a ‘day in the life’ clip and some previously unreleased home videos. I don’t want to give too much away, but the DVD is delightfully intriguing.
Geiger offers a youthful, refreshing and catchy pop sound that is definitely worth a listen.
