This is a collection of timeless classics, rich with impeccable vocals and delightful musicianship.
It opens with the well-renowned and completely “Unforgettable” duet with Nat King Cole. Both the vocals and horn stylings on this track are exquisite. Next up is the sweet and melodic “Miss You Like Crazy.” This one and “I’ve Got Love on My Mind” both
show off Cole’s remarkable vocal range. “When I Fall In Love,” another gorgeous duet featuring Natalie and her father, includes a wonderful sax solo by Dan Higgins. Cole’s interpretation of “As Time Goes By” is stunning and includes a delightful sax solo by David “Fathead” Newman. “Everlasting Love” had me bustin’ a move in spite of myself.
Not everything here is as mainstream. “Angel on My Shoulder” is soothing with lovely lyrics. “I Can’t Say No” is one of the more energetic tracks and has plenty of sweet vocal harmonies. “More Than the Stars” is innocent, lighthearted and extremely catchy.
