Playing Time: Anywhere from a couple of minutes to a half hour or so, depending on how you play
No house can be called a home without a deck of UNO cards. It’s a fun, quick game that’s easy enough for every member of the family (okay, well, just about).
Game play is incredibly simple. Players take turns getting rid of the cards in their hand by matching colors or numbers (or by forcing opponents to draw even more cards). When a player runs out of cards, it’s all over.
The rules tell you to keep score – and the first person to 500 wins – but that’s only if you’re feeling competitive. When I was in college, I always carried a deck of UNO cards in my backpack – ready for a quick game between classes or while waiting for the waitress to bring dinner.
UNO has been around for so long – and has become so popular (it claims to be “America’s #1 Card Game”) – that everyone has created their own rules. There are several versions of the game available, including the special edition Simpsons version.

She’s also a proud member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association (CriticsChoice.com), the Central Ohio Film Critics Association (COFCA.org), the Online Film Critics Society (OFCS.org), and the Women Film Critics Circle (WFCC.Wordpress.com).
