It’s great to be back at CIFF!
Originally, I had planned to leave first thing this morning, in order to make the 11 a.m. screening — but I decided to spend a bit more time in the office instead, mostly since I was out at a screening until 10 last night, and I still had to finish packing and writing reviews and things.

The 33rd Cleveland International Film Festival begins tomorrow!

Well, I’ve made it through my four-day run at the festival. And, once again, my last day here was full of surprises (or at least one very big, very pleasant one). [more…]

My bags are packed and loaded into the car (well…everything but the laptop, that is), and I’m ready to head north for the Toronto International Film Festival. I’ll be checking out the movies that everyone’s talking about — movies like Keira Knightley’s The Duchess, Anne Hathaway in Rachel Getting Married, Charlie Kaufmann’s Synecdoche, NY, and Rian Johnson’s latest, The Brothers Bloom. I’ll also be spending a lot of time standing in crowds, trying to get a good look at George Clooney (good thing I’m tall!). And I’ll be reporting back as often as I can to dish all the dirt on what’s happening in Toronto. Be sure to check back often for the latest Toronto updates!
For those of you who haven’t had the chance to battle the crowds and check out a real, live film festival, check out the Babelgum Online Film Festival, judged by both professionals like director Spike Lee and visitors like you. [more…]
