Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Card Game

Read Time:1 Minute, 28 Second

Players: 2-4

Playing Time: 15 minutes

There are 10 villains trying to destroy the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles have to work together to fight them—because it takes all four Turtles to defeat a villain.

Each player starts the game with four turtle cards. Players match the background color of the turtle cards to those of the villains. Each time a player lays a turtle card on a villain he or she then draws from the pile to replace the card played. The player who places the last turtle card on the villain is the defeater of that villain—and he or she wins that match. Play continues clockwise around the villains until all villains are defeated. Players then count the number of villains they have collected, and the player with the most villains wins.

The object of the game is to be the player who lays the fourth turtle on each villain—and to collect the most villains.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Card Game is a fun matching game for little ones. The directions are very clear, and they’re simple enough that even young kids can understand and play along. My six-year-old son thought it was a terrific game—and he found it fun to play again and again. The game suggests that it’s best for players ages six and older, but it’s easy enough for a four-year-old as well.

The see-through turtle cards are sturdy enough for regular use, and they’re cleverly created to cover the villains by positioning the turtles in the four corners of the cards. My only recommendation would be to package the cards in a better case, to keep them together for future use.
