Pentacles of Magick: The Healing

Read Time:1 Minute, 53 Second

Raven St. Claire almost killed Dennison Scott’s brother with her magick. Working as a bounty hunter for Reverend Scott Cunningham, Raven hunts witches—but lately she’s been slacking off. And that’s not good because Reverend Cunningham doesn’t tolerate insubordination, and it could cause Raven to be stripped of her magick and sacrificed.

Raven is held captive by Denn and his lover, Jake—and, to add to her confusion, she finds herself attracted to both men.

Jake watches, powerless, as his lover begins to respond to Raven in explicit ways. Yet Denn still seems to want Jake, too, with the same intensity. Still, Raven is Denn’s empathy—the woman who will balance Denn, meant to be his mate for life. But Jake also wants Raven, which confuses him because he’s only attracted to men. Will it be possible for Denn to follow both fate—as he’s commanded—and his heart, keeping Jake along with Raven? Or will Jake have to leave?

Meanwhile, somewhere in New Orleans, an evil waits, biding his time until the betrayer, Raven, can be dealt with, putting all three of the lovers in danger.

When you begin Pentacles of Magick: The Healing, you’ll feel as if you’ve been dropped into the middle of something. It might confuse you for a while—until you figure out that this novella is part of an ongoing series about four brothers who are witches seeking their life mates.

Be warned, though, that scenes include graphic sex between two men, as well as threesomes involving two males and a female. So if you’re squeamish about that sort of thing, steer clear of this novella.

Outside of the explicit alternative sex (which I don’t really care for), however, The Pentacles of Magick: The Healing has an interesting plot that will awaken your curiosity. Though the sex scenes are not to my taste, I still found myself interested in the witchcraft and prophecy aspects of the story, which lends an air of intriguing excitement and danger to the plot. So readers who enjoy both the extreme sex and the paranormal story line will be thrilled with The Pentacles of Magick: The Healing—because it has the best of both.
