I grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and couldn't wait to get as far away from
that place as I possibly could. So after college I found a job teaching
English as a Second Language in Hungary. That eventually led me to Ankara,
Turkey, where I have been living since August of 2000. When I'm not
teaching (more like babysitting, actually... it's a private school), I travel
around Turkey, do some mountain climbing, dodge insanely vicious Turkish
drivers, and do a lot of reading.
After a brief hiatus from the craft of writing (if indeed four years is
brief), I've once again picked up the quill. I've also finally dragged
myself into the 21st Century and bought a computer, my very first one (I
call her Dottie, but only when she's good). I hope to chisel my way into a
career of freelance writing.
