From the first time I saw a trailer for Ocean’s Eleven, I knew there was no way it could be anything less than a success. It’s got action. It’s got adventure. It’s got George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Andy Garcia, Julia Roberts, Casey Affleck, and a whole lot more. How can a movie like that go wrong?

And I wasn’t disappointed, either. This remake of the 1960 film starring Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., and Dean Martin has so many high-tech gadgets and dizzying action that it makes me want to see the old version -- because I’m curious to see how they could have pulled it off in 1960...

Newly-released ex-con, Danny Ocean (Clooney) is ready to go back to business -- and he’s not talking dinky little convenience store robberies, either. He has his heart set on a three-casino robbery in Las Vegas. To do this, he needs the perfect team of criminals -- and he immediately starts visiting old friends and putting his dream-team of pros together. It soon becomes pretty clear, however, that Danny’s not just in it for the cash. Instead, he’s determined to get revenge on the casino owner -- who just happens to be seeing Danny’s ex-wife, Tess (Roberts). He’s convinced that if he pulls off the job, he’ll be able to win Tess back.

Ocean’s Eleven is a WOW! movie. It’s one of those films that, after watching it, you need to stop to catch your breath. The action... the effects... the tasty co-stars... Add ‘em together, and you’ve got one heck of a movie. I couldn’t recommend this one more.
