This is a gorgeous piece of work with a huge bass line, spectacular vocals and thought-provoking lyrics.
Kanye West does it again with his second album, Late Registration, a perfectly-mixed collection of masterful R&B.
The disc opens with the grin-inducing intro, “Wake Up Mr. West,” followed by “Heard ‘Em Say” featuring Adam Levine of Maroon 5. Both tracks have dramatically different but equally delightful vocals. There are several gems here, but my favorite has to be “Gold Digger,” featuring Jamie Foxx. This track is catchy and upbeat with some mind-boggling rap. “Touch the Sky” is wonderfully energetic and a great tune to dance to. “Roses” is beautiful but chilling, the kind of tune you might wish for the president to hear.
If you like R&B, Late Registration is a must-have for your collection. It is genius and extremely difficult not to fall in love with on the first listen.
