There are times in all of our lives that may not seem like monumental events at the time but end up being major turning points when we look back on them. And in All the Signs by Jessie Rosen, a woman travels the world to ignore the signs that her life is about to change.
The story follows Dr. Leah Lockhart on a search for answers after a sudden case of vertigo puts everything that she and her father have worked so hard to build into jeopardy. After her father’s retirement, Leah took over the family’s OB-GYN practice. But when she collapses during a delivery, her health concerns—along with the resulting lawsuit—throw everything into question. When an astrologer suggests that her issues stem from her life being out of alignment, she sets out to prove that he’s wrong—only to learn about herself and her family in the process.
For anyone who likes their life to feel safe and predictable, Leah’s story can be…terrifying. With her usually stable, structured life suddenly spiraling out of control, Leah decides to take on a project to keep her distracted. In order to disprove astrology—and prove that she’s exactly the person she’s meant to be—she reaches out to find her Star Twins, who were born within two hours of her, to see if their lives all line up. As she does so, though, she begins to feel the lack of balance that the astrologer warned her about. And though her family insists that she’s fine—that everything is just as it should be—she gets a strange feeling that everything is far from fine.
What follows is an emotional journey—not just for Leah but possibly for readers, too. The character sets out to prove a point, only to learn some truths about herself that amaze her and scare her and shake up her entire life. And, in the process, it may make you feel a little off-balance, too—but it may also inspire you to break out of the expected, the routine, the safe...and to follow your heart in some exciting and surprising new directions.
Jessie Rosen has a gift for writing eye-opening novels that challenge her readers and her characters alike to live—and All the Signs is no different. It takes readers along on a moving adventure that may just mark a turning point in their lives, too.
